YAKIMA -- Pacific Northwest University is expanding. They are adding two new colleges that offers doctorate degrees in psychology, counseling, and a physician's assistant program.

Dr. Stanley Flemming tells Action News, "For the community, it's just an added boost to economic development in so many ways."

He thinks the colleges will bring more manpower in the area, creating more health services and jobs for locals.
The programs start next fall.
