Spencer Takes The Stand

YAKIMA -- Michael Spencer defends himself before the jury Wednesday.
Defense attorneys usually don't put their clients on the stand, but this time, Michael Spencer was an exception. Spencer tried to explain everything he remembers about the night he shot and killed Rebecca Tatum. He says it was a terrible accident, and after Rebecca was hit, he could only focus on getting her help. The state believes this was not an accident. Spencer is the last witness to take the stand. The jury could have the case by the end of the week. If Spencer is convicted of murder, he could face life in prison. |
