Making The Fence More Appealing

Wapato -- Craig Fisher, Citizens Protecting Resources says, "We said we'll go ahead and meet with you talk about the kind of screening that we think would be appropriate and that's when we ended up with some kind of a green screen plantings, smaller shrubs, bigger shrubs so that would block off the view of the wrecking yard from the highway."

This is the fence all those plants could be covering.

After Yakima County Commissioners gave the okay to move a towing and auto wrecking business down the road to Yakima Valley Highway.

Though the shrubs could help with the look, they're not finalized.

Craig tells Action News you have until August first to voice your opinion.

Craig and a group called Citizens Protecting Resources is still hopeful they and the county can come to an agreement and relocate the business somewhere else.
