Intimate family relationship led to Harrah shooting

Intimate family relationship led to Harrah shooting

HARRAH, Wash. -- An arrest has been made in the shooting that took place in Harrah Friday.

An 18-year-old man shot his uncle, 26-year-old Roberto Ocampo-Ursino, with a rifle. According to deputies, the two had an intimate relationship which Ocampo-Ursino was not interested in continuing. The 18-year-old nephew wanted to continue the relationship. When he shot his uncle, only a 4-year-old female was in the room.

Ocampo-Ursino is now stable after initially being listed in critical condition.

Yakima County Sheriff's Deputies responded to the report around 1:15 p.m. at a home on the 20 block of Washington Street Friday. They found 26-year-old Roberto Ursino had been shot several times.

The nephew immediately called 911 and said it was an accident. Further investigation proved otherwise.
