Former Yakima Karate Instructor Back in Court

By Maria Medina

YAKIMA -- A former Yakima karate instructor accused of taking advantage of two of his students was back in court Tuesday.

Paul Barr was arrested last year after a former student accused him of taking advantage of her for several years. Another student also claimed Barr had inappropriately touched her.

On Tuesday Barr's attorney argued those two cases, however, happened at different times and places and asked that a jury try Barr for each of those investigations instead of all at once.
