No Charges for Ex-Central Washington University Football Player?

ELLENSBURG -- A former Central football player could get his drug and weapons charges dropped, the Kittitas County Prosecutor's office said Monday.

Moses Lewis was charged for allegedly having drugs and a loaded weapon last fall.

Investigators said they found the items after searching his home when Yakima county sheriff's detectives named him a suspect in a Yakima home invasion where two people were shot.

But a just judge ruled there wasn't enough to search Lewis' home in the first place. The Kittitas Prosecutors' Office told Action News it's now up to the prosecutor in Lewis' case to take the next step, which could include dropping the drugs and weapons charges altogether.

Yakima county sheriff's investigators told Action News, however, Lewis remains a suspect in the shooting.
