Western RV Employees Complain About Improper Insurance Deductibles
By Sade Malloy
Yakima -- Former Western RV employees received this letter last week from Premera Blue Cross .
In it, the health insurance provider says they stopped receiving claim reimbursements from Western RV earlier this year. So a former Western RV employee contacted KIMA because he wants us to Take Action, and find out where his health insurance deductibles have been going. Chuck wants to know where his money is. Chuck Burks, Former Western RV employee says, "For the year I've got $185 put into it." That's almost 200 bucks out of his Western RV paychecks for dental and hental deductibles for his Premera Blue Cross Insurance. Money he now wants back. Chuck Burks, Former Western RV employee says, "They take the money out of my check so technically it's my money, where'd it go if it didn't go for the insurance." Chuck received a letter from his health insurance saying after 'Western RV accumulated a significant outstanding balance Premera had no choice but to terminate Western RV for non-payment.' Jerry is Chuck's Dad and worked with Western RV for 13 years and says he's not surprised about how things have turned out. Jerry Burks, Former Western RV employee says, "I think there's mismanagement of a lot of funds." And Chuck says the reason why no one's come to the media sooner is that half of the former Western RV employees didn't read the letter. Now because of Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act we can not get any information from Premera Blue Cross. We made numerous calls to Monomoy Capital, Western RV owner's and never got a returned call. |
