Western RV Customers Upset Over Half Serviced Vehicles

Yakima -- First it was the employees now Western RV customers are saying they're being left in the dark and left with half serviced vehicles.

Bob Wert, Western RV President says, "We've run out of money we've paid all the bills we can pay, done all we can do."

That's the response from President Bob Wert explaining that a continuing slow down in sales is forcing them to temporarily suspend manufacturing operations.

They're narrowing down their approximately 200 employee work force to skeleton status only keeping six from their management staff.

And with the service center closed...

Sade Malloy, KIMA Action News says, "Some customers who came here specifically to get their RVs serviced have run out of patience."

Western RV Customer says, "They only did part of what they said they were going to do and the other part they closed up."

Western RV tells Action News they told their customers things were changing.

But this Western RV customer who didn't want to show their face doesn't agree.

Al Maza, Western RV customer says, "With no company there is no warranty it's really that simple."

While this one wants to know what's going on with his warranty.

Western RV claims they're still good and that customers should go back to the dealer, get the work done there and they'll reimburse them.

But some customers are skeptical.

Western RV Customer says, "They're not going to do any warranty work for us how are they going to get their money."

Not to mention every dealer has the right to refuse.

Western RV tells Action News that if the necessary funding or investment company were to come around they could start up business again.

And that their employees would be eligible for rehire.
