Costco Expanding Their Staff & Bringing More Jobs To Yakima

Yakima -- Mike Ohara of CostCo says, "It has the capability of getting to the upwards of 500 employees"

Costco likes it's new digs in Union Gap so much,

the company's moving and expanding it's Issaquah call center to Yakima.

Lloyd Benscoter says, "The valley needs a lot more jobs and the call center if it's going to get more employment great."

The center will focus on customer service for Costco stores.

Workers will answer questions on Costco.com and it's magazine.

No word yet on how many jobs this will open.

Because current Issaquah employees will have the opportunity to transfer to the new Yakima site.

Lloyd Benscoter says, "I love the service."

They've decided to take over the old Housevalues.com building off I-82.

A spot that's sat empty since summer.

When HouseValues shutdown.

It left 100 people without work.

Sue Day says, "New jobs are a good thing."

Norm Johnson says, "I actually heard about it yesterday and I was just real pleased."

Costco claims since word spread the company's getting about five calls an hour all folks wanting to find work.

Sade Malloy, Action News says, "You ever consider working for Costco?"

Mike Goff says, "Actually I have thought of it."
