Yakima County rural road project comes in overbid
YAKIMA, Wash. -- Yakima County's push to improve dangerous rural roads has hit a roadblock. It's now at least three months behind schedule.

The two-phase project targets 29 county roads in need of safety improvements.

KIMA learned bids on the second phase came in over budget. That put the whole project on hold.

Yakima County engineers started taking bids in January.

More than a million dollars from the federal government is paying for the improvements.
