YAKIMA COUNTY -- Yakima County finalized its budget with major cuts across departments.

We told you about those cuts earlier this week; layoffs at the jail and in the court ssytem.
However, commissioners feel things will turn around.
"Things will improve. We are working to make a better use of DOC facilities and even increase bed rentals through out 2013," said Yakima County Commissioner Mike Leita.
Yakima County is working to create a regional jail facility with the City of Yakima.
Next year, the county will also shift millions from its roads fund to cover debt payments.
