YAKIMA, Wash. -- Yakima City Council voted Tuesday evening to put a proposed change to the city charter on the November ballot. The proposal is for $750,000 to be taken annually from the general fund for capital improvement projects in Parks and Recreation.

Council also accepted a settlement of about $1 million from the engineering company responsible for late and overpriced work on the Lincoln underpass.
