Drive-by shooting puts 12 year old in hospital
UNION GAP, Wash. -- An early morning drive-by shooting in Union Gap put a 12-year-old boy in the hospital.

Police tell KIMA it happened around 2 a.m. on the 2100 block of Cornell Avenue. Investigators say children were in the home at the time. A 12 year old was hit in the leg and taken to the hospital.

Neighbors say the victims have only been living in the rental home for about a month. One neighbor who heard the shots said the neighborhood is typically quiet.

"Police really go around here quit a bit though, it makes it a lot better, but ya, it's definitely a little scary having it on the same block," Ed Perry said.

Police have not identified a shooter or a motive.
