Thieves get away with thousands in equipment at Selah Elks
SELAH, Wash. -- Thieves broke into more than a dozen storage units at the Elks Lodge taking thousands of dollars worth of property.

KIMA learned it was late last week.

Crooks broke the locks on 14 sheds where members kept their golf equipment. They got away with golf clubs, bags, cash and GPS devices.

"Ya know it's pretty sad because everybody depends on everybody else and then somebody comes along and starts doing this, now everybody is on the lookout for stuff. So it's a little scary," said member Jim Smith.

Employees say they're now considering installing surveillance cameras.

You might remember the Yakima VFW recently added cameras after an armed robbery last month.
