Summer plans taking shape for downtown Yakima
YAKIMA, Wash. -- Yakima is looking to give downtown more life and we now have an idea how the city plans to do it.
Yakima set aside $100,000 to create special events.
Plans call for holding a lunch time concert series every Friday in Performance Park from July to August.
The other is a summer concert series Thursday nights on Fourth street.
Yakima's economic development manager said the city also wants to do more during the holidays.
