State hands Yakima County $6 million for affordable housing
YAKIMA COUNTY, Wash. -- KIMA learned Yakima County will soon begin construction on three affordable housing complexes. The county is getting almost $6 million from the state to do it.
The new complexes will be built in Yakima, Toppenish and Granger. Construction will likely start sometime in March. The grants are part of $65 million dollars being shared across the state.
These projects should create about 3,000 jobs.

Yakima should hand it right back. We don't need more free stuff for tweakers and drug dealers.Â
