UNION GAP, Wash. -- New soccer fields could be on the way to a park in Union Gap. A non-profit group wants to add ten outdoor soccer fields to Fullbright Park.

The project could also include a 40,000 square foot indoor soccer facility. Sozo Sports estimates it would cost $3 million.

Funding would come from donations and other fundraising activity. Union Gap's mayor says the city might kick in some money. People there are excited about the idea.

"More attraction as to where to bring your little kids to run around and brew some energy," Blanca Cuevas said. "Kicking the ball around, I think it could be a wonderful idea."

The Parks Board will decide whether to recommend the plan to Union Gap city leaders.
