YAKIMA, Wash. -- KIMA found out the man bitten by a police dog is now out of a hospital bed and in a jail cell.

Carlos Peraza Kissi made his first appearance on assault charges Friday.

Detectives say the 18-year-old kept them at bay Monday during an hour-long standoff at Lewis and Clark Middle School after he reportedly pulled a gun on someone.

Kissi is due back in court in two weeks.
