YAKIMA, Wash. -- It's almost time for this year's Relay for Life here in Yakima. Setup started Friday and the countdown is on.

The Relay for Life kicks off Saturday at noon at Franklin Middle School. It goes 24 hours, through the middle of the night, until noon Sunday. The goal is to hit $200,000 in fundraising for this fight against cancer.

KIMA will be out here all weekend with hundreds of walkers, vendors, and entertainers. KIMA spoke with Danna Roberts who tells me there's nowhere she'd rather be this weekend.

"I can't imagine not doing it and when you get out here you just get this feeling and you can't leave," Sponsorship Chairperson Danna Roberts said.

Organizers have been setting up all day. Activities during the Relay include the emotional survivor lap at noon, the Luminaria Ceremony at 9:30, live music throughout the day and time for the kids. That includes a visit from Summer Santa Claus.

Again, the Relay for Life starts Saturday at noon at Franklin Middle School and goes for 24 hours!
