Plea agreement sought in 2009 Yakima murder

Plea agreement sought in 2009 Yakima murder
YAKIMA, Wash. -- KIMA learned a plea deal could come this week in a three-year old murder case after Yakima County prosecutors and the defense failed several times to reach an agreement.

Police arrested Marcos Rojas in 2009, after they say he shot three people, killing one.

Rojas rejected the state's original plea deal, and the state hasn't been able to reach an agreement with the murder suspect.

Now a new deal must be reached this week or else the case will go to trial.

Rojas' attorney says the case has taken longer partly because of several lawyer changes.
