YAKIMA, Wash.-- Yakima Valley Community College is getting some grant money for a new solar energy project. It's from Pacific Power's Blue Sky reusable energy program. The school will add solar panels on the roof of the Glen Anthon Arts and Science Building. The panels will give students an opportunity to learn about solar energy. And, the school will save money on electricity.

"It's the first project that's been awarded in Yakima so we're very excited about it," said Teresa Holland.

YVCC has a meeting tomorrow to review the plans.
