YAKIMA, Wash.-- Yakima's wastewater division is moving forward with a new project to make fertilizer that can be used by local farmers. It in the planning phase to build a "Biosolids Drying Facility" at a cost of more half a million dollars. The fertilizer will also be available to parks and the community. A survey of the city will be done first to assess the need.
