Man Identified in fatal Wapato tractor accident; third work death this year
WAPATO, Wash. -- Authorities identified the man who died in yesterday's tractor accident as 44-year-old Francisco Espinoza.
Espinoza was run over by a tractor while he was trying to change the tire on an attached trailer.
It's the second farming death this summer.
We pulled the numbers and found there have been three work-related deaths this year alone in Yakima County. All connected to agriculture.
There was one farming death last year in Yakima County.
According to the Department of Labor and Industries, six people died on the job in 2010. There's no county breakdown for agriculture.
