YAKIMA, Wash. -- This wasn’t the typical summer camp for kids.
Children as young as five spent their day painting over graffiti here in Yakima. They worked on tables at MLK Park next to Washington Middle School. They’ve been painting for three days covering graffiti at Milroy and Randall Park as well. Kids said the work makes them feel good.
"Most of us come to this park and it's just full of graffiti,” said Izaiah Rodriguez. “Since we are painting over the graffiti, it's going to look much nicer."
The kids are enrolled in the free summer camp at Yakima's Central Lutheran Church. For more information on the camp call 575-6490.
