Have you hit the 'bump' on 16th & Tieton?
YAKIMA, Wash. -- You might have noticed things starting to change at a busy intersection here in Yakima.
Construction continues at 16th Avenue and Tieton Drive to get rid of the bumps and slants at the crossing.
Crews are also getting rid of the turning lanes. There will now be two lanes in each direction
One driver says she's happy to see the work.
"It kinda like jolts you to the side because it's unexpected and you can't see it when you're coming so when you go over it, it jerks you to the left a little bit," Brandy Brown said.
Traffic signals at the intersection are also being modified.
Work is expected to wrap up next week.
