Glass bottles pile high in Wapato

WAPATO, Wash. -- Dozens of bottles are scattered near the railroad track near Dennis Road.
Neighbors say people get drunk and toss the empty bottles when they're done.
One woman thinks more should be done to stop it.
"Nobody ever enforces them to have to pick it up. It's just a constant eyesore. Very dangerous if they end up breaking. Kids cross around here all the time. It's very scary, I wish the police department or
some type of group organization or something could go out there and clean it up," said Rachelle Tahsequah.
A railroad employee we spoke with says it's a constant problem they struggle to keep clean. They hold an annual clean up as well.

That is the problem with cleaning it up, BNSF will cuff you if your on their right of way. Plus that is an active track and if someone were to not hear or see a train coming, they don't stop like a car does, it would create more of a mess to clean up.
