YAKIMA, Wash.-- We're less than 24 hours away from the Relay for Life here in Yakima. People have been at Franklin Middle School setting up throughout the afternoon. The event kicks off tomorrow at noon -- and KIMA will be there to help the fight against cancer.

People have been gearing up for Relay for Life all day at the Franklin Park Middle School Track. It's Yakima's 28th annual Relay for Life, making it the second oldest in the world. Teams have been fundraising for the American Cancer Society since the beginning of the year.

"This is what I call the culmination of what they've worked for six months after our kickoff in January," said event coordinator Fred Warren." We're all here to remember, celebrate and fight back. So this is why we're here this weekend."
