SELAH, Wash.-- The wind and relatively warm weather means fire season is fast approaching. A fire in Selah Saturday afternoon proves it.

A quarter acre of land burned near I-82. The fire did threaten a nearby barn but fortunately no structures burned. Luckily nobody was hurt. Crews from Selah Fire and Yakima Training Center responded to the call. They got the whole thing under control after about 30 minutes. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
