Film production company holding Yakima casting call for actors
YAKIMA, Wash. -- Could the Palm Springs of Washington be turning into the Hollywood of Washington?
This weekend, actors are flocking to Yakima with the hope of making their big break.
Producers are holding an open casting calls at Jackson's Sports Bar today and Sunday.
We're told the thriller will be filmed in Yakima. And the director says it's a chance for undiscovered talent to be discovered.
"Especially helping the next generation to know that there is something creative that they can do as well. So that they're not stuck at working mills or fruit picking jobs or work at Target, or whatever, but there is a career they can aspire for and be successful at it," said Michael Mitchell, the film's producer.
Casting calls resume Sunday at 11 am.
