Ellensburg Robotics
ELLENSBURG, Wash.-- You could call it a mix of the Jetsons and School house rock as dozens of school kids in our area came together to build a robot. Kids of all ages headed to CWU to participate in the annual robotics competition. They squared off to see who could build a robot with the most skills and there were plenty. The robots launched mini bowling balls and even shot basketballs through hoops. Not surprisingly, kids at the camp say they had a blast.
"You have everyone working together, you're learning lots of really great values like teamwork, respect, trust, and also you're getting a lifelong love of learning," said Gabriel Bryant, who participated on team "Silver Circuits".
Winners from today's event are now headed for the regional championship.
