YAKIMA COUNTY, Wash. -- The Yakima County Planning Commission is recommending that the Board of County Commissioners drop their proposed ban on marijuana businesses.

The Planning Commission finalized their decision at a meeting on Wednesday night, following input from a public hearing last month. The Planning Commission is asking staff to develop land use requirements that would regulate legal pot businesses in the county.

The Board of County Commissioners still has the final say. The Planning Commission will present their recommendation later this month.
