YAKIMA, Wash. -- KIMA is following new developments for the East - West Corridor project to connect Yakima with Terrace Heights.

County engineers are pushing two new possible routes.

One would go across the river from G-Street. The other would use H-Street.

The latest ideas come after commissioners rejected three project designs.

Yakima city planners also took a look and determined the best route would be H-Street.

Neighbors we spoke with in the area haven't made up their minds, but are worried about traffic.

"When you have all that inflow of traffic coming in, this is a residential neighborhood, where there tends to be a lot of people.. A lot of times they will be on foot rather than vehicles," said neighbor Uriah Harrison.

Yakima City Council will consider the report at next week's meeting.

The county hopes to finalize plans this summer.
