YAKIMA, Wash. -- A regional plan unveiled Tuesday highlights the top economic priorities for both Yakima and Kittitas Counties.
The list is based on their readiness and potential to create jobs. An expansion of Sunnyside's wastewater treatment plant tops the list.
There is also the old mill site. The regional plan identifies issues and needs to grow the economy.
A member of the steering committee says it could mean more money for projects.
"Given the scarcity at the federal level, they want it planned for, they want it well documented, they want to see good partnerships at the local level," said New Vision President & CEO Dave McFadden.
Authorities want public feedback on the plan before it's finalized.
