YAKIMA, Wash. -- City council officially voted in favor of increasing bus prices, Tuesday night.
Most single ride fares are going up about 50 cents. The monthly reduce-fare pass will jump from $5 to $9. The adult monthly pass will increase from $17 to $25.
One bus-rider says she doesn't mind the increase.
"If the buses are convenient I have no problem. I paid as much as two, three dollars in Seattle to ride around. So, here I think we've got a bargain going," Lynne Kittelson said.
The increased fares will take effect March 8th.
