Yakima trolleys expanding?
YAKIMA, Wash. -- Yakima's trolleys could go farther. The goal is to re-establish service all the way to Selah.

Stolen wires and damage to nearly half the poles caused operators to limit the trolleys availability. Trolley volunteers tell us a route to Selah would be a good thing for the community.

"There are so many cities in the United States that would give their right arm to have something like the trolleys," said trolley enthusiast Karl Pasten. "And the reason for that is they are a tremendous draw for tourism."

Volunteers say there is grant money available. They are also considering fundraisers to pay for it. They'll speak with city leaders next week.
