Homeless bus stop moved further from downtown Yakima
YAKIMA, Wash. -- After you complained about homeless people hanging around a downtown park, we looked into it and the City of Yakima took action.

Downtown visitors and businesses complained to KIMA and the city.

We learned the bus stop was moved. Millennium Plaza is no longer being used as a bus stop for the homeless to go to and from the local shelter.

It's now in a parking lot at South Front and Walnut Streets. Authorities say it's a sparse area that's still close to downtown.

Most of the homeless shelters should close for the season by the end of the month. This new location will likely be used as the bus stop for next winter.
