YAKIMA, Wash. -- We're only three days away from the start of The Central Washington State Fair. Action News spoke with organizers to see what's new this year.

Equipment and rides started moving in on Friday. Greg Stewart, fair president and general manager, told KIMA there will be more than 250 vendors, three new rides, a new hall of fame hero’s exhibit and new things to eat. He told us it takes a lot of people to make it happen.

"People that have the passion to be a part of this big organization and put on, this is the largest family event in Central Washington. So, it just takes people that want to work hard and have fun,” said Stewart.

Fair organizers expect almost 300,000 people to come through the gates this weekend. KIMA day is this Friday!
