Yakima apartment fire damages four units
YAKIMA, Wash -- Sixteen people are out of their homes Thursday morning after a fire at a Yakima apartment complex.

Crews were called to an 8-plex on the 200 block of North 10th street about 10 o'clock Wednesday night. They found the roof on fire. Thirty- two people living in the building had already evacuated.

Firefighters quickly knocked down the flames burning in the attics of two units. Four of the apartments are heavily damaged. The red cross is helping the residents find housing.

The fire may have started in a ceiling fan in a bathroom. Damage is estimated at $300,000.
