US 97 reopens after brush fire near Ellensburg
KITTITAS COUNTY, WASH -- US 97 in Kittitas County reopened late Monday night, after it was shut down earlier in the evening because of a large grass fire.

Crews shut down 97 between State Route 10 and State Route 970 for about 3 hours because of a fire that burned roughly 40 acres. The fire briefly threatened some homes, but Kittitas Valley Fire and Rescue now say the fire is 95-percent contained.
