Plane lands on its belly at Yakima airport, closes down runway
YAKIMA, Wash. - A small, single engine, Mooney M20TN plane landed on its belly at the Yakima Air Terminal around noon Saturday.

Officials say two people were on board, but no one was injured.

Emergency services were called in after it landed. It's unclear if the landing gear failed or just wasn't lowered. The Yakima Fire department along with airport crews were able to get the plane up on its wheels and tow it off the runway.

The Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board are investigating the incident.

The four-seat plane had only minor damage.
