NACHES HEIGHTS, Wash. -- Investigators with the Yakima County Fire Marshal's office are working to determine what started a destructive brushfire Wednesday night.
Deputy Fire Marshal Don Linder says the call came in around 8 pm on the 9100 block of Naches Heights Road and was 30 to 40 acres.
Linder says two mobile homes were destroyed. There's no immediate indication how it started.
The hot and dry weather made for perfect conditions for the fire to spread. Several local agencies responded. No one was hurt.
