Fire creates dangerous situation for firefighters
YAKIMA, Wash -- A Yakima house went up in flames Wednesday afternoon, causing a power pole to fall and creating a dangerous situation for firefighters.

Crews responded to the fire on the 400 block of South 10th about 4:15 p.m. A large amount of fire was coming from the windows and door on the back and side of the house.

The fire had caused a power line to fall on a chain link fence on the property and was energizing the fence. Power crews were called to stabilize that situation while firefighters continued to put the fire out.

The home was vacant, and the cause of the fire is still under investigation. Damage is estimated at $120,000.
