Emergency rescue for capsized boat
Yakima, Wash. -- Firefighters from six different agencies responded to a report of a capsized boat on the Yakima River Wednesday afternoon. They launched a full rescue, not knowing if anyone was aboard.

It happened about 3:30 p.m. Rescue teams donned dry suits preparing to enter the icy water.

The next step was to retrieve the boat. It turned out to be recently stolen and abandoned. No one was aboard.

The incident lasted about 90 minutes. Resources from Yakima Fire, Yakima Training Center Fire Dept, Naches Fire Dept., Union Gap Fire, YPD, and YSO responded. The Yakima County Technical Rescue Team also responded.
